Who is Nico Marlow?
Nico Marlow is the Editor in chief of OnlineGamblers. Nico has spent years researching and checking gambling operators as a long-time researcher and checker within the iGaming industry, and is, in Nico's own words, into iGaming 24/7. Nico is based in Serbia.
Nico Marlow is a pen name. A real person stands behind it: the owner of OnlineGamblers, who answers for everything the site publishes. The profile picture is an illustrated avatar, not a photo, and we say so openly.
What does Nico do on OnlineGamblers?
Nico is responsible for what goes live and how it is judged. In practice:
- Reviews and approves every page. Every license page, review, guide and news story is checked by Nico against its cited sources before it is published.
- Owns the method. Nico sets and maintains the OG Score criteria and weights described on how we rate gambling operators, and the evidence rules in our editorial policy.
- Writes with AI help, decides alone. Pages are researched and drafted with AI tools from primary sources. Nico checks them and decides what is accurate enough to publish.
- Decides on corrections. Every reported error goes to Nico, who checks it against the source and approves the fix under our corrections policy.
How does Nico approach a review?
Nico approaches every review from the player's side of the table. Three rules guide the work:
- The register before the marketing. A license claim means nothing until it matches the regulator's own register.
- The terms before the bonus. The headline offer matters less than the wagering, the caps and the clauses that let an operator keep your winnings.
- No invented evidence. If something was not tested, the review says so. If a fact cannot be confirmed, it stays out.
These rules are also the core of our player charter.
How can you contact Nico?
You can write to Nico at [email protected]. Put "For Nico" in the subject line. Nico reads questions about reviews, scores and corrections, but cannot settle disputes between players and operators. For that, use the complaints route of the regulator that licenses the operator.
