- 10 minimum deposit on most methods and a wide payment list, including e-wallets and pay by bank
- More than 2,000 games stated, with in-house exclusive titles

- Reversing a withdrawal is unavailable in the UK, and UK withdrawals are paid back to the deposit methods first under the Transaction Balance rule
Is 888casino a licensed and regulated operator?
Yes, 888casino is licensed, and we confirmed two licences on official pages. The UK Gambling Commission register lists 888 UK Limited under account number 39028. Its remote licence 039028-R-319297-014 is active and covers casino and bingo (since 1 November 2014) and general betting on real events (since 1 November 2014) and virtual events (since 16 April 2020). The register shows 888casino.com among its active domains.
The Malta Gaming Authority seal page lists Virtual Digital Services Limited, Sliema, as "Licensed" under B2C Gaming Service Licence MGA/CRP/121/2006-09, with Type 1 gaming services (casino, lotteries), Type 2 (fixed odds betting, including live betting) and Type 3 (peer-to-peer bingo, games and poker). The seal page also shows an older licence, MGA/B2C/543/2018, with the status "Surrendered", so check the number on the page, not only the name.
Who operates 888casino?
888casino is operated by four different companies depending on where you live, and you contract with the one named for your region. The footer of 888casino.com gives the list:
| Where you live | Operating company | Licence stated |
|---|---|---|
| Great Britain | 888 UK Limited, Gibraltar | Gambling Commission account 39028 |
| European Single Market (except local licence markets) | Virtual Digital Services Limited, Malta | MGA/CRP/121/2006-09, issued 22 September 2025 |
| Republic of Ireland, sportsbook | 888 Eire Limited, Gibraltar | GRAI remote betting licence GRAI-1090-RB-26-0001 |
| Republic of Ireland, casino and poker | 888 Eire Limited, Gibraltar | Gibraltar Remote Gaming Licence 112 |
| Everywhere else | Virtual Global Digital Services Limited, Gibraltar | Gibraltar Remote Gaming Licences 112 and 113 |
The non-UK user agreement says the Gibraltar companies are part of the evoke group. The About page says 888casino opened in 1997 and that the group has been listed on the London Stock Exchange since September 2005.
Where is 888casino available?
888casino is available only where one of those licences or a local licence applies, following the License Matrix on our gambling licenses hub. For Great Britain the UK Gambling Commission license is the one that counts. For the European Single Market the Maltese licence applies, except in countries with their own licence: the responsible gaming page names Spain, Italy and Denmark as examples where services are provided under a local licence. See our Malta Gaming Authority license guide.
For Ireland, the casino side relies on a Gibraltar licence, see Gibraltar gambling license, and only the sportsbook has a licence from the new Irish regulator, see Irish gambling license. For the rest of the world the Gibraltar licences apply, and the operator says it makes no representation about legality outside the jurisdictions where it is licensed. The help centre says the list of excluded countries can change at any time and that access from those countries is blocked. We did not find the list itself, so check the site for your country before you register.
What do the 888casino terms say about payments, verification and fees?
888casino accepts a wide set of payment methods and sets clear rules on name matching, documents and fees, but the details depend on your region. The table uses the non-UK deposit page and the help centre.
| Topic | What 888 says |
|---|---|
| Deposit methods | Visa, Luxon Pay, Skrill, MuchBetter, Neteller, ecoPayz, Interac, Paysafecard, PurplePay and several local bank methods; the help centre also lists Apple Pay, Pay by bank and Trustly |
| Withdrawal-capable methods | Visa, Luxon Pay, Skrill, MuchBetter, Neteller and ecoPayz and Interac; Paysafecard and voucher methods are deposit-only |
| Minimum deposit | 10 in account currency for cards, Apple Pay, Luxon Pay, Paysafecard, Pay by bank and Trustly |
| Withdrawal processing (non-UK) | 3 business days; Gold VIP casino members 1 business day |
| Total time (non-UK) | E-wallets 4 to 5 days, cards up to 8 days, wire 7 to 10 days |
| Withdrawal route | To the deposit method first, up to the amount deposited with it (UK: Transaction Balance over 4 months) |
| Minimum withdrawal (UK policy) | 10 GBP, or the whole balance through live chat |
| Documents | Photo ID and proof of address; reviewed within 72 hours |
| Inactive account | UK help page: 3 GBP a month after 13 months; non-UK agreement: 5 EUR a month after 365 days |
The processing table says plainly that it does not apply to UK customers, and the withdrawal guide adds that reversing a withdrawal is unavailable in the UK. We therefore do not state a UK payout time. Our 888casino withdrawal page covers the table in full and our 888casino verification page covers the documents.
What does 888casino offer new players?
The 888casino pages offer promotions that change by country, and the one shown to our server was a deposit match for visitors seeing dollar amounts, which does not apply to UK customers. We therefore do not describe a welcome offer in this review. The Bonus Policy page applies to the offers you see, and our casino bonuses hub explains how to read wagering terms in general.
How do disputes and complaints work at 888casino?
The non-UK agreement sets a two-step route. First contact customer service by live chat with the relevant details and evidence, and say what outcome you want. Complaints made through social media are not accepted. If the specialist has not solved the query, you can email the Second Opinion Team, which acknowledges within 2 to 3 working days and aims to decide within 14 days of receipt. That decision is the end of the internal procedure. UK customers have their own agreement, which we did not read, so check the UK terms for any independent dispute service. We found no contact hours or phone numbers to publish.
To start a chat while logged in, click the "?" button at the top right and use "Message Us" at the bottom of the Help widget.
Which responsible gambling tools does 888casino offer?
888casino offers deposit limits, take-a-break and self-exclusion tools, and the help centre gives specific rules for UK customers. UK customers can set daily, weekly or monthly deposit limits as net or gross limits under a policy that started on 22 September 2026. A lower limit takes effect at once and a higher one after a 24-hour cooling-off and a confirmation. If you self-exclude from an 888 UK brand, it also applies to any William Hill account, and the help centre recommends GAMSTOP. Closing an account for other reasons is done in the Cashier or by chat, as covered on our 888casino close account page.
How did we score 888casino?
This is a desk review: we checked the registers and read the operator's pages and help centre, but we did not open an account or test any deposit or withdrawal. See how we rate gambling operators and our testing methodology.
| Criterion | Weight | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| License and safety | 25% | 8.5 | UKGC and MGA licences checked on official pages; four-company structure and unchecked Gibraltar and Irish licences keep it below 9 |
| Terms fairness | 20% | 6.5 | Fees are disclosed, but the 3 GBP and 5 EUR inactivity fees, different rules by region and 72-hour document reviews weigh on the score |
| Payments | 20% | 7.0 | Wide method list, 10 minimum deposit, published time table for non-UK customers; no UK table |
| Responsible gambling tools | 15% | 8.0 | Net and gross deposit limits, cooling-off on increases, take a break, self-exclusion shared with William Hill, GAMSTOP advice |
| Customer support | 10% | 6.0 | Live chat and an escalation team; hours, languages and phone not seen |
| Games | 10% | 7.5 | More than 2,000 games stated, in-house exclusives, live casino tables; providers and RTP data not reviewed |
OG Score = 0.25 x 8.5 + 0.20 x 6.5 + 0.20 x 7.0 + 0.15 x 8.0 + 0.10 x 6.0 + 0.10 x 7.5 = 2.125 + 1.30 + 1.40 + 1.20 + 0.60 + 0.75 = 7.375, rounded to 7.4, which is "Good" on our scale.
